Le Chat Noir is a studio in Berlin-Schöneberg with classes in pole and aerial acrobatics, improv theatre and stand-up comedy.
Theatre projects also take place here, dealing with social and personal topics such as identity, conflict, prejudice, physical and mental health.
Le Chat Noir ist named after the legendary 19th century Parisian cabaret.
Le Chat Noir Berlin’s founder, Kay Herm, has over 10 years experience as a performing artist and teacher in acting, theatre, dance and acrobatics, as well as in the NGO sector in the field of human rights. Kay was born in Berlin but moved to London in 1999, where she completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts, as well as a Master’s Degree in Human Rights. In 2017, Kay moved back to Berlin, and started working on the development of the social enterprise Le Chat Noir.
